·To promote and support textile artists by providing a forum for the concentration of local expertise throughout Northumbria and the Scottish Borders

·To bring together like minded textile artists, to inspire and motivate each other and extend the reach of individual artists beyond their specific area

·To bring disparate and individually isolated artists together in a mutually beneficial group

·To create exhibition opportunities of a professional standard
